RECOMMENDATION:

DESCRIPTION:
Truman Burbank (Jim Carrey) is a middle-aged insurance agent living an idyllic life in the peaceful, seaside town of Seahaven. His charming wife Meryl (Laura Linney) is a nurse. Since childhood, the man has had the feeling that he is being watched. His intuition is not wrong. His entire life is, in fact, a television reality show orchestrated by the show’s creator – Christof (Ed Harris).
A giant of cinema – Peter Weir (Dead Poets Society, Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Mosquito Coast, Witness, Fearless) at the top of his game. Jim Carrey (shedding his goofy comedian label) and Ed Harris, along with a prophetic vision of a future world told many years before the creation of Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok.
Add to that the outstanding music by the duo of Burkhard von Dallwitz and Philip Glass. Over 100 awards and nominations, including 3 BAFTAs, 3 Golden Globes, and 3 Academy Award nominations.
