Hirayama (Koji Yakusho), a solitary middle-aged man, works as a cleaner of public toilets in Tokyo. Although his life may seem monotonous, Hirayama finds joy and fulfillment in simple, everyday activities such as caring for plants, listening to music, and photographing nature. His routine, filled with calm and reflection, hides a secret — a past that is gradually revealed with the appearance of people from his former life.
