DESCRIPTION:
A biographical drama directed by Sean Penn, based on the true story of Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch). After graduating from college in 1990, the young man decides to abandon conventional life, donating his savings to charity and cutting off contact with his family. He sets off on a journey across the United States, seeking freedom and the meaning of life. He adopts the pseudonym “Alexander Supertramp.” Encounters with the people he meets along the way shape his vision of the world, society, family, and his own identity. He sets his sights on reaching the wilderness of Alaska. Once there, he begins a solitary life in an abandoned bus.
